L’Arcimboldo is right in the middle of Sirmione, close to the Aquaria spa. The restaurant sign hangs over the entrance to a shopping gallery and the restaurant door is at the far end.
With its variety of rooms, all in harmony but each with an identity of their own, L’Arcimboldo is a pleasant surprise. All the spaces are comfortably furnished with fine taste, witnessing the time over which the restaurant has been modified before arriving at its current structure. Each room represents a pieces of history and together they form a path leading to the lake from the Gallery.
In fact, L’Arcimboldo is composed of four inter-connected areas: the Gallery, the Veranda, the Garden and, last but not least, the Lake Fountain.
Every detail catching your attention is fruit of the wish to offer a unique memory: a piece of furniture, a plant, a flowering branch… care for the whole in search of beauty, with taste and elegance.
The first area welcoming guests at L’Arcimboldo is the Gallery.
Constructed in 1960 by Mr Remo Merlin, a passionate and expert antiquarian, this space is unusual because, although enclosed, it has maintained the characteristics of an open area with tables arranged as if under a typical town portico.
In the Gallery, as in the whole restaurant, you will find harmony in the continuity of forms and colours in a procession of objects, plants and glimpses that make it unique.
The Veranda, a bright and welcoming room, opening into the Gallery and looking over the Garden, combines the advantages of a space opening to the exterior but protected at the same time from any tricks of the climate.
Heated by a stove in winter, the Veranda can be used at any time of year and offers enchanting views of the lush garden.
Here again harmony and fine taste are at home and all details created carefully without exaggeration.
The Garden is a natural extension of the Gallery and represents the conjunction between L’Arcimboldo and theLake. Enjoyable during the fine season, it offers a splendid panoramic view and a triumph of colours: from the varying tones of green of the ornamental plants,to the vivacious colours of the many flowering shrubs, to the ever-changing hues of the lake.
From the Garden, guests can admire the splendid panoramas of Lake Garda throughout the day because protected, in the hottest hours, by plants and sunshades which create an entertaining play of light and shadow while guaranteeing comfortable surroundings.
What could there be more poetical and romantic than the murmur of the lake and the sky at sunset ?
If you love the emotions aroused by natural scenery, you will be struck by the “lakeside” area at L’Arcimboldo.
Here everything slows down, the atmosphere becomes almost idyllic and guests are captured by the surroundings in which they are totally immersed.
An incomparable encounter between sky and lake.
